How long have you been in business?
We started our business in 1992 and incorporated in 1995.
What is your primary product or service?
We specialize in helping individuals and companies in development of innovation. We specialize in training and consulting in a systematic process for technology innovation. This process is called TRIZ. We have 5 books published on this subject matter and provide coaching to clients. We were one of the founders of the Altshuller Institute for TRIZ Studies, Inc.(AI)in 1998 also located in Worcester, MA. AI is a 501(C)3 organization that actively promotes TRIZ on an international platform and has had 12 annual conferences. Since its inception Since its inception national TRIZ institutes have been developed in Japan, China, India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Europe, Korea and Mexico.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I became interested in TRIZ through a Russian immigrant, Lev Shulyak. He had a manuscript that he had translated from Russian into English and was looking for someone to help him edit his work to a point where it could printed and sold. With a background in Physics and business, I was intrigued listening to him speak about a marvelous new systematic way of solving problems and developing innovation.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Frankly, we do not have any direct competition. TRIZ was derived from the study of thousands of patents. Problems that were solved and the methods used to solve these problems by inventive people, were extracted and cataloged. The information collected was then distilled into a manageable body of knowledge that cuts across all sciences and industries. TRIZ helps people to solve problems by developing numerous and better solution concepts quickly. This allows for faster and better resolution of conflicts in your system. You do not have to reinvent to wheel to solve your problem. Chances are your problem or a similar problem has already been solved in another industry. By applying the concepts of their solution, you will find your specific solution much quicker than if you wait for the concept to pop into your mind.

We have one location and no plans at this time to expand.
