We have over 9000 works of art (most on paper, but also including some paintings and sculptures) ranging from the late 15th century to the present, including about 2000 old master prints and drawings. Among the artists in our inventory are Albrecht Dürer (over 150 woodcuts, etchings, and engravings), Raphael, Giulio Romano, Marcantnio Raimondi, Lucas van Leyden, Hendrik Goltzius, Rembrandt, Goya, Renoir, Manet, Degas, Mary Cassatt, Kandinsky, Kathe Kollwitz, Kokoschka, KIrchner, Schmidt-Rottluff, Magritte, Matisse, Miró, Picasso, Chagall, Motherwell, Helen Frankenthaler, Joan Mitchell, and Many others.

How long have you been in business?
We started our gallery in 1980 in Madison WI where I was a Professor of English at the University of WI and my wife taught English at Madison Area Technical College. The gallery was only open on weekends until 2004, when we moved to Upton MA.
What is your primary product or service?
We sell original works of art (mostly on paper) from the late 15th century to the present, including Old Master Prints and Drawings (about 2000), 19th-21st century original prints and drawings from the Impressionists to contemporary artists. We also have paintings, drawings, and monoprints by a number of artists including Georges Rouault, André Derain, Aristide Maillol, Wifredo Lam, Pierre Alechinsky, Claude Garache, Gerard Titus-Carmel, Joan Gardy Artigas, and others. We also sell books on art and do appaisals of artworks.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
It started as a hobby and then took over. I have a PhD in English from Princeton (1969) and taught at the University of Wisconsin for 35 years. I included lots of discussions of art in my literature classes. My wife taught a class in Women artists at Madison Area Technical College.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have over 9000 works of art by some of the world's greatest artists from Albrecht Dürer and Rembrandt to Renoir, Cassatt, Degas, Rouault, Grosz, Heckel, Kandinsky, Kirchner, Kokochka, Kollwitz, Schmidt Rottluff, Picasso, Chagall, Miró, Tapies, Alechinsky, Titus-Carmel, Garache, etc.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location, no expansion plans.

We are on the corner of Main St (Hwy 140) and Maple Ave in Upton about 5 miles from I-495 (exit 21B, 1st exit south of the Mass Pike.

We are a c-corp; Sonja Hansard-Weiner is President, Andrew D. Weiner is director.
What are your hours of operation?
Saturday and Sunday from noon to6 p.m. and by arrangement. (We own the building in which the gallery is located—the former Upton Unitarian Church— and live in it as well. We are easily available for appointments.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
To tell us that they have just discovered an artist whose works they had never seen in person.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
